Bread Baking
Rules
The feel of soft dough squishing between your fingers is relaxing. The smell of a boule baking in the oven is alluring. The taste of homemade bread with butter and honey -- it is nothing but intoxicating.
I love baking. My body can't support the calories very well but that hasn't particularly stopped me from indulging in the dangerous carb-filled lifestyle of a bread baker. Something about having this skill has really made my life more enjoyable and for some reason people throw admiration my way despite it being undeserved. Just like Remi the Rat, anyone can cook, and in my opinion, anyone can bake.
I have yet to really delve into the depths of baking. You can truly do all sorts of things. However, my small ventures into the unknown include pretzels, which tasted great without looking the part, and sourdough cinnamon rolls, these may have been the best cinnamon rolls I have ever tasted. If anything, I have learned that keeping a large bag of flour in the kitchen is a neccesity that permits you to create a late night snack (with a little forethought) any time you want. You will always thank yourself at the time until you're exercising and the carbs weigh you down just that extra bit haha.
